How We Met
I could hear them.
panting.
kissing.
fucking.
Just on the other side of the door.
And I listened.
Fascinated.
Amazed at the sound of others
in The Act.
Live.
And not intending to be overheard.
Or perhaps, simply unconcerned.
Self-absorbed.
In each other.
Oblivious.
And then it was over.
A cigarette.
Soft voices.
A laugh or two.
But time was ticking.
So they got up.
And then he came out the door.
Paused, glanced at me,
laughed a short laugh.
And walked away.
I turned and peered in.
She looked back.
Gorgeous, blonde,
hot and sweaty,
barely clad,
smiling.
And she said,
"Twenty bucks
for twenty minutes."
That's how we met.
Don't ever forget it.
That's why you live with me.
So tell the whore hello this weekend.
From Daddy.
